Scripture of the Week:
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14

Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. II Chronicles 7: 15-16

Insight:
Let’s for one minute look at the action words conveyed to us in this one scripture. (vs7:14) Humble, pray, seek, turn are all instructive words that we, as believers, must first do. God is an “If, then” God. We are often required to make the first move. We are often required to step out of complacency and give God the attention He desires by obeying His word, His precepts, and His commands.

Now let’s look at His promises. His eyes will be open, His ears attentive to prayer, and His heart will be in the place He has caused His name to be remembered, His dwelling place. We, the church, have a responsibility to pray diligently for the healing of our land, but in order to do so effectively, we must take steps first, to turn from our own wicked ways. God will always start with us. Do you want to see true change come to our country? Are you concerned about the loss of our personal freedoms as a Christian nation? If so, join with me and lets ask the Lord together, to help us, as a whole, turn from our sinful ways and seek the Lord on behalf of our nation.

Prayer:
Dear Lord,
It is my desire to see this nation, which was founded on Your word, return to the values of our forefathers, as they felt it critical to honor and exalt you as the only one sovereign God whom we acknowledge as a nation. May we wake up to the lie, under the guise of tolerance, that we must accept the defilement over our land and believe by faith, that we can make a difference, and see real change come to our land. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
