Healing Tears

"Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD. II Kings 20:5

This scripture should give great joy to those who need a physical healing, but not only physical, but emotional and spiritual healing. Why? Because this story alone, shows the abundant love of our heavenly Father. It offers to us today, the assurance that God does hear our prayers. It shows us that God does care that we are in great need and that in such a place of need, He has compassion for His people. Often in the New Testament, when Jesus healed, the word of God says He healed with compassion. How many times have you called out to God with tears?

I had been praying diligently for several days for the Lord to take from me, my tears. I would cry whenever I felt the presence of the Lord. I was very embarrassed because I was concerned that it made others uncomfortable. I was standing at the altar in a service and I heard the Lord say in a very firm but loving way, No. I asked, But why Lord? and He said, They honor me.

I will never forget the love that I felt from the Lord at that very instant. You see, God loves a heart that is willing to be broken and exposed for His glory. Never again did I feel embarrassed about my tears, instead, I rejoice that in this small way, I can bring honor to my King.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, May my heart be opened and exposed for your Glory. May my prayers be real and honest before you. May you hear and answer the cries of my heart and in this, may I bring you honor. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
